  • To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Wilkenson Francois and I was a volunteer along with over 85 medical professionals from the Bedford-Stuyvesant Volunteer Ambulance Corps (BSVAC) deployed on January 16, 2010 to Haiti helping save lives following the devastating earthquake. I am now a recruiter for LAHAF/Banshee Association upon learning of their critical initiative Volunteer Conduit Program. I have learned of your organization in the past from a close friend/mentor whom resides or does business near Church Ave and Notrand; yet it just crossed my mind as I am ramping up efforts to recruit more volunteers. I realized that I should have mentioned this before but I would appreciate it if you’d take a little of your time to learn more about our intentions for both LAHAF and the Banshee Association. Please advise on LAHAF/Banshee Association’s alternative to becoming a partner.

Please you can either email or make contact at (917) 432-7487.

    Thank You,

    Wilkenson Francois

  • Dear Marcus Garcia,

I am pleased to contact you to give you information about ARCHIVE´s last project and to ask you for a brief coverage / interview in your station.

Our US- and UK-based non-profit organization ARCHIVE (Architecture for Health In Vulnerable Environments) is running a new project to build “healthy homes” that limit tuberculosis transmission in Haiti. This will be for a community in St-Marc. Being the next biggest city after Port-au-Prince, St-Marc saw its population tripled after the earthquake as many people fled there from the capital.

On January 12th, residents of St-Marc will find out about this new, unique type of housing to be built in their community. These 5 houses are especially designed to limit the transmission of tuberculosis, the second biggest infectious killer in the country after HIV/AIDS.

These 5 houses are the winners of the international housing design competition ‘Kay e Sante nan Ayiti’ which has drawn in submissions from 147 teams from around the world. The teams have worked across the disciplines, consisting architects, engineers, health specialists, and development experts. Many of the houses to be build are designed by American teams from different parts the country.

The project is being run by our non-profit organization ARCHIVE with the local community and AIDS organization F.E.B.S. ARCHIVE is working with members of the AIDS community due to their obvious housing need and for the chance to understand how designs and interventions can make a difference among the most vulnerable to infection.

We expect that this project will act as an exemplar for sustainable, long-term housing for not only Haiti but also the developing world.

From January 6th to January 19th, Peter Williams, ARCHIVE´s CEO will be available for interviews.

Please let me know if you would be interested having him in your show.

    Thank you in advance.

Radio Soleil spend countless time in vacuous emission such as religious and sport instead of educational programs.
Volume control between regular transmission and commercials is the worst nightmare and live telephonic interview and transmissions are mediocre at best and unacceptable.
